Playing with google gadget API
In this iteration, we've added some features that are a little more like what you expect a "url" gadget to do: (a) the server time at the bottom comes from an XHR call to the origin server (which is not Google, since this is "url" type); (b) the "info" link opens up a new page, causing a complete page refresh. This is what Google means when they suggest "url" gadgets are more suited to people who want to use dynamic languages other than Javascript.
